Thank you to all who participated and attended in the Maundy Thursday service yesterday evening. It was a beautiful and moving service.

Our Good Friday Service will be a joint service with Crestview at St  Charles Headingley  at 11 am .

We will celebrate Easter with Communion on Sunday April 20^th at 9:30 am

Please keep the Larkin and Soltess families in your prayers as we celebrate the life of Barbara’s mother Sheila Brydon-Gibb on Saturday April 19th at 1 pm. Sheila was a faithful member of the United Church of Canada and has been a part of our extended family for many years.

Please join our choir on Maundy Thursday: for the Cantata   The Shadow of the Cross – April 17^th, 7:30 PM  at Prairie Spirit United Church 207 Thompson Dr

Our combined 35+ voice choir will lead an evening Tenebrae service shared by the Congregations of Rosser Grosse Isle , McClure, Crestview, and St. Charles Headingly United Churches. We will be joined by  guest cellist Sean Taubner from the WSO. This is a great opportunity to get to know folks from other United Churches neighbouring us and build deeper community.

This week we celebrate the sacrament of Baptism.

Reminder that as we journey through Lent we will be meeting every Tuesday for our Lent Study on Tuesdays with Morrie with members from both ST Charles Headingley and Crestview Churches. This week we meet at Crestview at 1 pm.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the Crestview Pancake supper. There were roughly 80 people in attendance.

Reminder that our Lent Study starts this Tuesday at 1pm at St Charles Headingley.

I will be leading a Lenten study Tuesday afternoons during Lent. We will be reading the book Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. Please let me know if you need a copy of the book. Copies are available at Chapters and McNally Robinson book stores.

The study will be a joint venture between Crestview and St Charles Headingley.

I ask that you please read as much of the book as possible before our second meeting.

Crestview United Church will be hosting their Shrove Tuesday pancake supper on Tuesday March 4 at 6 pm all are welcome to attend. Please let either myself or Darlene know if you plan to attend so that we can give them approximate numbers.

The dementia support group will be meeting at the church on Thursday March 13th at 1 pm at the church. All are Welcome.
